My 5 Minute Everyday Makeup Routine

A range of makeup products arranged on a white dresser

Being able to do your makeup quickly and easily is a must for busy people on the go. I'm by no means a professional makeup artist, but I do have an everyday routine that takes mere minutes and leaves me feeling fresh-faced and ready to take on the day.

Learn this makeup look in less than 5 minutes!

Step 1: Prep Your Skin

Before I apply any makeup, I like to start with a good skin care routine. This includes cleansing, toning and moisturizing my face. I also love using a leave-on exfoliator like Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant to give my skin added balance and glow before putting on makeup on days where my skin is a little dull. After cleaning and hydrating my skin in the morning, I like to do a quick spritz of rose water for some extra hydration and glow.

Step 2: Fill In & Define Brows

My brows are definitely one of my favorite features, so I take my time when it comes to defining them. First, I comb through them with a spoolie brush and then fill them in with The Precision Brow Pencil by Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. I start at the arch and then fill them in starting from the base and outwards. This gives my brows a natural, full shape.

Step 3: Conceal

To conceal any blemishes or dark circles, I like to use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. The coverage is light but buildable and it blends really easily, giving my skin an even complexion.

Step 4: Foundation & Contour

Next up, I like to apply foundation for extra coverage as well as to blur any imperfections on my skin. Recently, I’ve been loving the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation as it’s lightweight but gives a nice medium coverage. I love to apply it with a damp beauty sponge for a flawless finish. On days where I want to give my face some extra dimension (and maybe take 10 minutes instead of five), I like to use cream contour and highlight on my cheekbones, jawline, nose and cupids bow.

Step 5: Lash & Brow Serum

To round off my morning makeup routine, I always like to use an eyelash and brow serum. The Ordinary Multi Peptide Lash & Brow Serum is one of my favorites as it helps promote natural lash growth while conditioning them too! Plus, it also helps keep your brows looking fuller and thicker.

Step 6: Lip Balm

Last but not least, I always like to finish off my makeup routine with a swipe of lip balm. NARS Afterglow Orgasm Lip Balm is one of my go-tos as it gives my lips a natural hint of color while also nourishing and moisturizing them. Plus, the creamy formula helps keep my lips feeling hydrated all day long.

And that’s it! My 5 minute everyday makeup routine. It's quick, easy and simple - perfect for busy mornings or when you don't have time to spend on full out looks. With just a few products and steps, you can achieve a natural, glowing complexion that still looks polished and put together.

When it comes to makeup, less is more and I truly believe that you don't need a lot of products or time to look your best. So take the extra few minutes out of your morning routine - You'll be ready for anything in no time at all.
